i dont have the original email. but the reason i cant use the hp tuners is because this is not an SS cobalt. its a 2.2L and HP tuners does not support the 2.2L cobalt ECM. Trifecta performance in washington spent the effort and time cracking the 2.2L ECM, HP Tuners said they would about a year and a half ago and they pretty much just blew us off for 2.2L support. SCT Flash did do some kind of tuning for the 2.2L cobalt but it was a basic tune for the garret turbo alpha kit, which im not going to return the STS kit to go with an engine mount turbo. I want to remain unique. And even still the SCT flash basic tune for the garret alpha kit only works with manual transmission cobalts and i have an automatic. Trifecta Performance tuning works with both the manual and automatic transmission and they have proven it works.

also just how much of an expence is "expensive". at this point i just dumped 17,000 into this car not to just let it sit

The expense comes with putting the car on and off the dyno, every time we have to put the car on and datalog you're looking at $110...how many tunes do they think they'll need to do?

The reason I wanted to see the original email is because I have nothing in my estimating program about your car and since this started over 6 months ago, i just wanted to see what we talked about originally.

the original email basicly was talking about installing the STS stage 3 turbo universal system set up for 10psi of boost on a fully forged 2.2L cobalt engine w/ ARP head studs, cometic head gasket, ACL rod bearings, 3 angle valve job on the head, honde cylinders, comp cams stage 1, ferrea valves w/ dual valve springs. 60# injectors. and the AEM fuel/ignition controller and tune it that way. but now tuning is available and i dont want to use the piggy back

The top end is built to take 9k rpm but the stock crank can only handle 500hp and 8000 rpms. The engine is built to handle 500bhp. I'm just looking to get around 300whp or close to it as possible.

I have a slot opened starting next Wed. Do you want to get this going that quickly? I have a couple of other big projects going on in may so I'd like to get yours done before if possible.

sorry i didnt call, i had duty yesterday and our IT's are slacking and dont have our internet up yet.

yeah, wednesday is fine. I left the driver side door opening normal for ease of installing gauges, and/or electronics. the passanger side is a sissor door. I wont be able to drop the car off to you guys on wed. till around 3 or 4.

Vince told me that he doesnt know how many pulls on the dyno i will need to do, it just depends on how dead on i want the tune. So im going to set aside 700 extra on top of the install cost just incase.

Also im still waiting for the GT tuner to be shipped to my house. He only has 5 GT tuners and he has 10 cobalts he is trying to tune and im number 8 in line. I hope it comes soon.
